Obituary: Valentino S. DeFeo, 84

Valentino S. DeFeo, age 84, of Milford and formerly of Florida for 14 years, beloved husband of Patricia Rideout Defeo for 58 years, died on Saturday, Dec. 28.

Mr. DeFeo was born in Bridgeport, Conn. on September 28, 1929 to the late Luigi and Sabata DeMaio DeFeo.

He proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army. He worked for more than 30 years as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was a parishioner of the United Church of Christ in Devon.

Mr. DeFeo enjoyed building and flying radio-controlled airplanes and was a sports enthusiast.

Survivors include his son, Louis DeFeo of Milford, three grandsons; Blake, Eric and Tyler DeFeo, a brother, Anthony DeFeo, sister, Florence Pagnozzi both of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, Jan. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Ave., Milford.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the United Church of Christ, 30 Ormond St., Milford.  Interment will be private.
