She was an avid bowler with the Sunday Nite Mixed League, enjoyed listening to country music, a dedicated advocate of rescue dogs, solving Sudoku puzzles and making latchhook rugs, but nothing meant more to Sharon than spending time with her cherished granddaughter, Zoe, the light of her life. Loving, kind and generous, Mema will be sadly missed.

In addition to her beloved Zoe, she is survived by her children, Carrie Walter and her husband Gregg of Stratford, Kevin Mayer of Shelton, Brent Bevans and Jeff Clark of New Haven. She was predeceased by her brother, Russell Bevans.
