Born in Bridgeport, Robert lived much of his life in Fairfield, and moved to Milford in 2000. He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep, and Fairfield University (Class of 1957). An Insurance Adjuster, he worked for General Accident, as well as owning an Antique Shop "Grandpa's Garage". Also, he served briefly in the Connecticut National Guard Reserve. He enjoyed fishing, antiquing, gardening, and was a big fan of both the Mets and Gaints.

Both Robert and his family were very proud of his many life accomplishments, especially his 29 years of sobriety. Of which, credit is shared with support and guidance from his mom's many friends in the AA program. His family would like to gratefully acknowledge the wonderful care given to Robert by the staffs of Gardener's Heights, of Shelton, and St. Raphael Hospital, especially the SICU nurses and doctors, and the many friends who gave rides and shared their time with him.
