The Reverend Robert G. Ladamus, 73, of Milford, passed away on Thursday November 8, 2012, in his home.
He was born on November 7, 1939, in Bridgeport to the late George and Emily (Mastrangelo) Ladamus. Father Ladamus was a graduate of Milford High School, St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, and Christ The King Seminary in Buffalo, New York.
He was ordained May 23, 1970, in the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford by the Most Reverend John F. Whealon, Archbishop of Hartford. Father Ladamus served as Assistant Pastor at Saint Francis Xavier in Waterbury, Our Lady of Victory and Saint John Vianney, both in West Haven, Saint Mary Church in Milford, and then was appointed Temporary Administrator of Christ the Redeemer Church in Milford.
On April 26, 1995, he was named Pastor. Father Ladamus is survived by his niece Shannon Mann and nephews Clifton “Maxi” Mann and Lonnie Mann all of Milford, grand nieces and nephews Desiree, Jay, Sleath Jr., Nicholas and Jordan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell, Archbishop of Hartford, on Friday, November 16, 2012, in Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 15, 2012, in the Church from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
