Obituary: Ralph F. Dingee, age 85, of Milford

Ralph F. Dingee, age, 85 of Milford, beloved husband to Marie A. Molchan Dingee, died Saturday October 13, 2012 at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. 

Born on February 17, 1927 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret Casey Dingee. Ralph served with pride and honor in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Caswell in the Pacific Theater. 

He was a night supervisor at the Bridgeport Post for over 35 years before his retirement in 1988. After his retirement, Ralph was a longtime greeter at the Cody-White funeral home and worked part-time at the former Town and Country Florist, both of Milford. 

He enjoyed many hours building model ships, doing crosswords puzzles, reading and listening to music. Ralph was an avid watcher of “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” and was a diehard fan of the NY Yankees. 

He enjoyed the lively conversations with his friends at Dean’s Garage, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ralph was quick with a joke and will be greatly missed. 

Besides his bride Marie of 63 years, Ralph is survived by his children; Dennis R. Dingee of New Haven, LoriAnn Jones and her husband Ron of Milford and Jean M. Saley and her husband Michael of Milford. Four grandchildren, Eric Radecki and his wife Anne of Norwalk, Daniel Malerba of West Palm Beach, FL, Patrick Saley of Milford, and Thomas Casey Dingee Jr. of FL. Also survived by a great granddaughter Greta Radecki. 

Ralph was predeceased by his son Thomas C. Dingee, daughter Pactricia Dingee, and two brothers John and William Dingee. 

Family and friends may call on Monday October 15th from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford, CT 06460. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 16th 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Burial with full Military Honors to follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.

Memorial contributions in Ralph’s name may be made to St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, CT 06460.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
