Obituary: Nora Mary Ceravone, age 68

Nora was a dedicated and selfless volunteer at the Beth – El Shelter in Milford. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed card games and was a former member of the West Haven Moose Lodge.


Nora Mary Ceravone, age 68, longtime resident of Milford, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Milford Hospital. 

Born on January 28, 1944 in New Haven she was the daughter of the late John Leo and Helen Rita Dowling Ferris. Prior to her illness, Nora was a dedicated and selfless volunteer at the Beth – El Shelter in Milford. 

She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed card games and was a former member of the West Haven Moose Lodge. A generous, kind and caring person, Nora would always be there to lend a hand to anyone in need. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Lisa D’Amico and her husband Salvatore of New Haven, William Ceravone of Willimantic, and Joseph Ceravone and Nia Psichopaidas of Norwalk; seven cherished grandchildren, Karissa, Ashley, Trevor, Anthony, Michael, Amanda and William and her great grandson, Andrew. 

Nora was predeceased by her loving companion of many years, Louis Huelsman and her cherished grandson, Dominic Ceravone.
