Obituary: Marian Schanke Dutton, age 79

Marian Schanke Dutton, age 79, longtime resident of Milford, and beloved wife to James E. Dutton, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on June 12, 1933 in Millbury, OH, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Edna M. Kopfman Schanke. Prior to her retirement, Marian was employed with K-Mart doing clerical work in the office. 

Marian was known for her strong love of her family and spending time with them meant everything to her. She was a kind, caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother and sister whose devotion and love will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her husband, Jim of 59 years, she is survived by her loving children; Cheryl Hardy (Robert) of Monroe, Tammie Klinger (Dale) of Bethlehem, PA, Cindy Russo (Carl) of Stratford and Jim Dutton (Dee) of Milford; her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Hardy, Kyle and Kevin Klinger, Bobby and Becky Dutton and Carl and Brandon Russo and her sister Lucille Detty (Ben) of Genoa, OH, and several loving nieces. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 12th at 12 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 21 Robert Treat Pkwy, Milford. Interment to follow at King’s Highway Cemetery. 

Friends and family may call on Thursday, October 11th from 4 to 8 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. 

The family extends their deep appreciation and gratitude to Mike Sweeney and Maryann Davidson for their compassionate care and kindness of Marian during her illness.
