Obituary: Lucille L. Melanson, age 87

Lucille was a member of the Naugatuck Gardens Improvement Association and was a longtime parishioner of St Ann Church in Milford. She enjoyed traveling to Canada and Florida and loved to read.

 

Lucille L. Melanson, age 87, of Milford, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.  

Lucille was born on December 1, 1925 in New Bedford, MA to the late Frank and Lea Lagasse Melanson.  She was retired from Casco Products where she worked as an assembler for many years. She was a member of the Naugatuck Gardens Improvement Association and was a longtime parishioner of St Ann Church in Milford. She enjoyed traveling to Canada and Florida and loved to read.

Survivors include her two brothers; Frank Melanson of Milford and Norman Melanson of North Carolina and her sister, Mary Ann Della Rocco (Peter) of Derby and several nieces and nephews.  

She is pre-deceased by a sister, Leatrice Liposky and her two brothers, Roland C. Melanson and Romeo Melanson.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 25th at 11:00AM DIRECTLY in St. Ann Church, Milford.  

Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, on Buckingham Avenue, Milford. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00-10:30AM in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.
