Obituary: Kevin and Brenda Tanski, of Milford

The husband and wife, employees of the VA medical center in West Haven, died from injuries sustained in a car accident on Bridgeport Avenue.

 

Kevin M. Tanski, age 53, and his wife, Brenda L. (Rhoades) Tanski, age 51, of Milford, died at Bridgeport Hospital due to injuries sustained on Monday, February 11, 2013. Kevin died on February 12th and Brenda died on February 16th. 

They were the loving and devoted parents of Jeremy Puckett of Milford, Kevin M. Tanski, Jr. of New Haven, Jenny Tanski of Milford and Courtney Tanski of Milford; and grandparents of Shawn McAuliffe. 

They are also survived by Brenda’s mother, Luella Jameson of Toccoa, Georgia; Brenda’s two sisters and their husbands, Sandra and Barry Maher of Toccoa, Georgia and Bonnie and Ronald Heckert of West Haven; Kevin’s sister and husband, Carol and Jack Bruno of Stratford; Brenda’s two brothers and their wives, Harold and Kay Rhoades of West Haven and Douglas and Sharon Rhoades of Trail, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. 

Kevin had been predeceased by his brother, Jack Kuchta. Brenda was born in Ayer, Massachusetts to Luella Middleton Rhoades Jameson and the late Harold Rhoades. 

Kevin was born in Bridgeport to the late Walter and Anna Bednar Tanski. He was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport. Kevin and Brenda were both employed at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven. He was a biomedical engineer and Brenda was the program coordinator for the “My Health E Vet” program where she coordinated benefits for soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. 

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:30 am DIRECTLY at Holy Name of Jesus Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. 

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tanski Children’s Trust, 162 Lee St., West Haven, CT 06516.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
