Joseph K. Simington, age 90, of Milford, Connecticut, beloved husband of Kathleen McFarland Simington, died at Milford Hospital on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Joseph graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a degree in physics.
He served our country for nearly 25 years in the United States Army.
Mr. Simington began his career as a nuclear physicist and retired from Amtrak following ten years of service.
Joseph enjoyed listening to classical music.
He also loved to read. Joseph was an amazing woodworker.
Joseph is survived by a daughter, Diana C. Simington; son, Robert K. Simington; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Alice G. Simington and grandson Robert K. Simington II.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Robbie’s Fund, which provides service for young adults in need of guidance and/or counseling who are unable to afford the service.
Checks may be made out to the Milford Pastoral Counseling Center with “Robbie’s Fund” on the memo line and mailed to Milford Pastoral Counseling Center, 34 West Main Street, Milford, CT 06460.
