Obituary: Joseph Deleski, age 86, of Milford

Joseph Deleski, age 86, a life long Milford resident, passed away in his home on Sunday, October 14, 2012. 

He was born on January 20, 1926 to the late Marion “Joseph” and Anna Chenkowski Deleski. He served in the US Army during WWII. Before retiring, he was a self employed general contractor.

He was a member of the Thaddeus Koscuiszko Society and a Civil War and WWII history buff. Mr. Deleski is survived by his niece Janice Talemal David of Farmington, ME, nephew Mark Dolyak of Solvang, CA, a dear friend Ed Kozlowski, godson and longtime care giver Michael Kozlowski both of Milford, four grandnieces and two great grandnieces and a great grandnephew. 

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Mack and Harry Deleski and sisters Emma Dolyak and Olga Talemal.

Calling hours are Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford from 5 to 7pm. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 19th in St. Mary’s Church, Gulf St., Milford at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Disabled American Veterans, Milford, CT, Chapter 15, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250.
