John Bernard Donovan, age 80, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Eileen Donovan, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 17, 2013.
Born on February 20, 1933, in New York, NY, he was the son of the late John and Evelyn O’Reilly Donovan. Prior to his retirement, John was an import/export manager for Pitney Bowes. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially being “Poppy” to his fourteen grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Eileen of 56 years, he is survived by his children, Michael (Karen) Donovan, Daniel (Catherine) Donovan, Susan (Gerald) O’Sullivan and Jeanne (Darin) Porter; his cherished grandchildren, Erin, Brian and Lynn Donovan; Flynn, Cassie and Cormac Donovan; Christopher, Ryan, Jennifer and Amy O’Sullivan ; and Channing, Grace, Audrey and Justin Porter. He is also survived by his siblings, William and Vincent Donovan, Evelyn Lynch, Geraldine Herrity, and many loving nieces and nephews.
