Obituary: Gregory J. Dolan, 55
Mr. Dolan loved spending time with his cherished friends and was a kind and caring father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Gregory J. Doran, age 55, longtime resident of Milford entered into eternal rest at Yale New Haven Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
Born in Bridgeport on Sept. 22, 1958, he was the son of Beverly Doran of Milford and the late Raymond F. Doran, Sr.
Greg was an employee of the U.S. Post Office prior to his retirement. An avid fan of the New York Giants and the Yankees, he was a dedicated coach for his son’s St. Mary basketball team and Little League baseball team.
Greg loved spending time with his cherished friends and was a kind and caring father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his mother, Beverly, he is survived by his children, Natalie, Jared and Christian Doran all of Milford; his two beloved granddaughters; his brother, Raymond F. Doran, Jr and his wife Nancy, and sisters, Sheila Viscount and her husband Joe and Kathleen Kochiss; and nieces and nephews, Ashley, Bryan and Taylor Doran, Joey and Amanda Viscount and Geoff and Vicki Kochiss.
He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Harold and Jean Doran and three cousins, Patti-Jean Tagney, Charlie and Scott Amedy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 0640. Interment to follow at King’s Highway Cemetery.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
In lieu of flowers, all memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
