Gertrude Veronica Clark, age 90, of Milford, died on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013.
Gertrude was born in Bridgeport, Conn. on Aug. 25, 1923 to the late Harry and Gertrude LeVaseur Clark. She graduated from Bassick High School in 1941 and continued her studies in Fine Arts at the University of Bridgeport.
She was an Art Instructor for Famous School in Westport and later worked as a secretary at General Electric, Bullard Company, Coulter & McKenzie and Manning, Maxwell & Moore. Gertrude was a talented artist who loved to oil paint and garden.
Survivors include her sisters, Edna Kerkes of Shelton and Jeanne McLaughlin of Southbury and her many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings: Harry F. Clark, Lorraine Clark Coffey, Arthur A. Clark, and Bernard W. Clark.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass on Monday at 11 a.m. DIRECTLY in Saint Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Interment will be private.
