Obituary: Francis Joseph O'Hara IV, age 28

Joey was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served during Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005.


Francis Joseph O'Hara IV, age 28, of Milford, passed into eternal peace on Sunday, November 4, 2012. 

He was born on April 20, 1984 to Francis Joseph O’Hara III and Margaret Ann Melcher O’Hara of Milford, formerly of Fairfield, CT. 

Joey, a graduate of Platt Tech, was employed as a truck driver for Mims Riggers and O’Hara’s Paving. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served during Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters Katelyn Ann and Mary Katherine O’Hara of Milford. He is loved and cherished by many including his paternal grandparents Gwendolyn O’Hara of Fairfield and the late Francis Joseph O’Hara II, maternal grandparents the late Susanne & Lee Herman Melcher, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Calling hours are Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 am, DIRECTLY in St. Ann’s Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery Bridgeport. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15 Foreign Wars 45 New Haven Ave, Milford, 06460.

To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
