Obituary: Elizabeth 'Betty' Dinihanian, 86

Elizabeth "Betty" Kezirian Dinihanian age 86, of Milford beloved wife of the late John Dinihanian passed away peacefully on August 15, 2013 in her daughters’ residence in Milford with her loving family by her side.

Betty was born on January 28, 1927 in Malden, Mass. and was the daughter of the late Mergerios and Ruth DerVartanian Kezirian.

Betty was the former proprietor of O’Connor Real Estate and co-proprietor of the Sea Wall Restaurant. She enjoyed traveling to the casinos, was an avid Red Sox fan and loved spending time with her two cherished granddaughters.

Betty is survived by her two daughters JoAnn Valentino of Bridgeport and Diane Karagheusian and husband A.J. of Milford, two granddaughters Kristen Valentino-Brolet and husband Jamison and Kaitlyn Valentino, several nieces, nephews and her adored cat Chester. Betty was also predeceased by her sister Leona Kuroghlian.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 20 at 10 a.m. directly in the Armenian Church of Holy Ascension, 1460 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, celebrated by the Rev. Untzag Nalbandian. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main St., Stratford on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Armenian Church of Holy Ascension.
