Dr. Robert E. Smith of Milford, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2012, after a brief illness.
Dr. Smith practiced dentistry in the Milford/Derby area for nearly 40 years. He was the beloved husband of 49 years of Eleanor Sweetman Smith, and the cherished father of Lee Smith, Esq. of Concord, MA, and of Randi Smith Soltysiak, Esq. of Somerville, MA.
He was the adored grandfather of Claire, Jason and Rebecca Smith, and April and Ari Soltysiak, and he was the father-in law of Mark Soltysiak and Jennifer Boniface.
Bob is survived by his loving sister, Eleanore J. Smith, nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear friends and his canine best friend, Lucky.
Friends may call Friday August 10, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the 135 N. Broad St. Milford. Interment will be private.
