Obituary: Clara Garrington, age 90

Clara Garrington, age 90, beloved wife of the late Frederick Garrington, recently of Milford and formerly of Norwalk for 58 years, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at CT Hospice in Branford.

Born on May 26, 1922 in Birmingham, England, Clara was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Slimm Postings. Clara enjoyed spending her time embroidering, crocheting, reading, and completing jig saw puzzles. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. 

Clara is survived by her children, Janet Sparks (James) of Milford and John Garrington of Fort Worth, TX; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her 4 sisters, 3 brothers, several nieces and nephews, all of whom are in England. In addition to her loving husband Frederick, Clara is predeceased 1 brother and 1 daughter-in-law, Kathy Garrington. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Wed., March 6, at 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
