Obituary: Charles H. (Chuck) Stempert, age 78

Chuck served with pride and honor in the National Guard and, prior to his retirement, was an engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft. He enjoyed gardening, golfing and his dinners at Lasse’s Restaurant.


Charles H. (Chuck) Stempert age 78, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to the late Margaret Buda Stempert passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. 

Born on February 9, 1934 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth Polaski Stempert. Chuck served with pride and honor in the National Guard and, prior to his retirement, was an engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft. He enjoyed gardening, golfing and his dinners at Lasse’s Restaurant. 

He is survived by his children James Stempert and his wife Marie of Oxford, Margaret Coyle of Milford, Victor Stempert of Beacon Falls and Amy Jackson of Milford. 

He is also survived by his grandchildren Christopher Stempert and wife, Shari, Jessica Rogers and husband Terrence, Larissa, Marrina, Nicholaus, Alexcia, Katrina Coyle, Joshua, Brian and Luke Jackson, and great-grandchildren Patrick and Elizabeth Stempert and Joseph and Arianna Rogers.

He was pre-deceased by son Daniel Stempert and son-in-law Joseph Coyle. 

Friends and family may call on Sunday, November 11th from 2 to 6 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to VFW Post 7788, 422 Naugatuck Ave., Devon, CT 06460.

To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Sad that they had to leave these beauties behind. I'm sure they are heartbroken over it.

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
