Obituary: Carol Costello, age 70, of Milford

Carol was a former member of the Laurel Beach Garden Club and an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Orange.

 

Carol Costello, age 70, of Milford and Sarasota, FL, and beloved wife to the late John H. Stowe, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center in Stratford.

Born on June 17, 1942 in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Roberta Cory Costello. Carol graduated from St. Margaret’s School (Chase Collegiate) in Watertown.

She earned a BA and an MA from Michigan State University and a sixth year certificate from Southern Conn. State University. Carol was employed by the Fairfield Public Schools where she taught English for 33 years.

She was a former member of the Laurel Beach Garden Club and an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Orange. She was also a former member of the Milford Yacht Club, the Quinnipiac Club and Mory’s Association. 

She is survived by her brother, Charles R. Costello of Woodbridge, a niece, Jennifer Delcegno, a nephew Christopher Costello, two step-daughters, Alison Rubelmann and Janet Policano, three great nieces and three step-grandchildren. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, 680 Racebrook Rd., Orange. Interment will follow at East Side Cemetery in Woodbridge.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad ST., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yale New Haven Hospital/ Smilow Cancer Center, 333 Cedar St., New Haven, CT 06520 or to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 680 Racebrook Rd., Orange, CT 06477.
