Blanche (Mandeville) Zofcak, age 89, of Milford and formerly of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late John J. Zofcak Sr., passed away at the Golden Hill Healthcare Center on Wednesday October 3, 2012.
She was born in Fall River, MA on May 10, 1923 to the late Lucien and Donelda Thibeault Mandeville.
Blanche was a former longtime sales associate at the Fairfield Department store and was a member of St. Mary’s Church. She is survived by her devoted children Raymond (Laura) Zofcak of Stratford, John (Janelle) Zofcak Jr. of Shelton, Linda (George) Anderson of Clinton and Jean M. (Cameron) Mc Caskill of Milford.
A brother George Mandeville of Washington State and sister Jeannette DeMonte of Bridgeport, 9 grandchildren Michael Zofcak, Stacey Maxwell, Holly Smith, Mark Zofcak, Lauren Anderson, Jennifer Scott, Kelly, Gordon and Megan McCaskill, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother Norm and Mandeville, sister Rose Tallerdy and step-grandson Ronald Allen Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday October 6, 2012 at 9:00am in St Mary Church Milford.
Friends may call Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery Fairfield.
