Obituary: Anna Csizmazia Ruffo, age 96

Anna was a devoted, generous and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and she will be greatly missed.


Anna Csizmazia Ruffo, age 96, longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife to the late Samuel L. Ruffo, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 3, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on October 23, 1916 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Csizmazia. Her family was everything to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was a devoted, generous and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and she will be greatly missed. 

She is survived by her daughters, Trene A. Ruffo and Dolores A. Brauer both of Milford and Sandra R. D’Amato of Orange; five cherished grandchildren, Michele, Michael, Mark and Raeann; four great grandchildren, Robert, David, Michael and Gia and two great great grandchildren, Lillian Hope and Gabriel Michael. She was predeceased by her grandson, Rick in 2003. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 8th at 10:00 am at St. Ann’s Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave., Milford with Father Maurice Maroney officiating. 

Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends and family may call prior to the mass on Thursday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Gabriel’s Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, CT 06460.
