Obituary: Andrew Yapo, age 74
Andrew proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was a teacher at David Wooster Middle School in Stratford for many years and also taught at Milford Adult Education.
Andrew Yapo, age 74, of Milford, beloved husband of Nancy Yapo for 47 years, died peacefully on Thursday, March 21.
Andrew was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 30, 1938 to the late Theodore and Mary Cici Yapo. Andrew proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was a teacher at David Wooster Middle School in Stratford for many years and also taught at Milford Adult Education. He enjoyed woodcarving and was an avid fly fisherman.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, survivors include his children: Theodore Yapo (Sarah Adams) of Clifton Park, NY, Alexis Boccanfuso (Anthony) of Wilton, and Adrienne Yapo (Geraldine Barney) of Boston, MA; sister: Nancy Hurd (Wallace) of Stratford; and five grandchildren: Haley and Isaac Adams Yapo, Jackson Boccanfuso, and Sienna and Elle Barney-Yapo.
Friends are invited to attend the Rite of Burial on Tuesday, March 26, at 10 a.m. in Saint George Albanian Orthodox Church with the Archpriest Dennis Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.
