Obituary: Alfred J. Winzer, age 70

Alfred J. Winzer, age 70, of Milford passed away in Masonicare Health Center on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
He was born on May 6, 1943 in Wuppertal, Germany to the late Alfred and Erica Jelinek Winzer. Before retiring, he was employed as an installer/repairman for SNET.

An active member of the community, he was a member of the New Haven Elks, Pioneers, Ansantawae Lodge #89 and HaruGari Singing Society.
Mr. Winzer is survived by his loving wife, of 48 years, Patricia Ann Halitsky Winzer, devoted sons Freddy Winzer of New Haven, Timothy Winzer of Milford and Joseph Winzer and his wife Allyson of Orange, grandchildren Jack and Cooper Winzer and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 13 at noon in St. Mary’s Church, Gulf St., Milford. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
