Loving Mother, Grandmother Angela D'Aurelio, 83

Angela D’Aurelio, of Milford, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born in New York City on May 13, 1930 to the late Nicolas and Albina Colonna.

Angela was the beloved wife of Dominic D’Aurelio for 62 years. Mother of Denise (Thomas) Neal of Branford, Ronald D’Aurelio and Robert (Shirley Grandmaison) D’Aurelio of Milford and the late Richard D’Aurelio. Devoted and proud grandmother of Robert (Nicole) D’Aurelio, Tarissa (Kevin) Klarman, Ryan (Michelle Newman) D’Aurelio, Daniel Neal, Juliette St. George, Jolene Grandmaison, Tiffany Walley and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Peter (Arlene) Colonna, sisters Marianne Rose Colonna, Nanette (John) Frankle, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Angela’s greatest joy was taking care of her children and grandchildren and spending time with her large extended family. She loved to dance, go to church and was an excellent seamstress.

She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church, member of the Milford Senior Citizen Center, and Sikorsky Retirement Club. She also worked for Weight Watchers.

Angela’s funeral procession will leave the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad Street, Milford, CT on Friday, July 12 at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave, Milford at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery in Milford.

Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Thursday, July 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Angela’s name can be made to Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter.
