Joan Ball, Milford Hospital Nurse, Dies at 77

Joan was also a member of the Rosary Society and the choir at St. Gabriel's Church in Milford. She loved spending her spare time reading and playing the piano. She also loved classic black and white movies.

 

Joan M. Ball, 77, beloved wife to the late Archibald Ball, entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 13, 2013.

Born February 18th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James Kelly and Elizabeth Tice Dooling. Joan dedicated her life to others by working as a nurse at Milford Hospital for many years, as well as volunteering hundreds of hours of her time at the Hospital.

Joan was also a member of the Rosary Society and the choir at St. Gabriel’s Church in Milford. She loved spending her spare time reading and playing the piano. She also loved classic black and white movies. 

Joan is survived by her step daughter, Kathleen Ball; her sisters Mary Ann Connors, Betty Anderson (George), and Patricia Kallmann; one grandson and granddaughter, one great granddaughter; 11 nieces and nephews; and 12 grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a step daughter Maryann Reilly. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 18th, at 10 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, CT 06460. Interment will follow the services at Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford, CT 06460.

Friends and family may call on January 17th, 2013 at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460 from 4-8 P.M.
