Jennifer Ellen June, Co-Owner of Beachcomber, Dies at Age 48

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska. Along with her husband, Philip June, she was the co-owner of the Beachcomber in Milford.

 

Jennifer Ellen June, age 48, of Milford, the loving wife of Philip June, passed away in her home with her family around her on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.

She was born in North Platte, NE to Mary Beth Matson Dodson of North Platte, NE and the late James Dodson on September 4, 1964. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska. Along with Phil, she was the co-owner of the Beachcomber in Milford.

Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by her dedicated children Alexander, Christopher, Philip, Stephanie and Samuel June all of Milford, brother Kelly Dodson (Bonnie) of San Diego, CA, sisters Erin Call (Bob) of Fort Collins, CO and Amy Lugsch (David) of Persia, Iowa, mother-in-law Antoinette June of Stratford, CT, sisters-in-law Regina June Gezelman (Lee) of New Britain, CT and Dianne Auger (Joseph) of Stratford, CT, many beloved nieces and nephews, and family member Tyler Brennan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Gulf St. Milford. Interment will be private. Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034 or the June Family Fund, care of Webster Bank, 314 Merwin Avenue, Milford, CT 06460.
