Jesse Ebstein, age 15, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 10, 2013. Beloved and cherished son of Dawn Dickinson and Steven Ebstein and step-son to Mike Dickinson, he was born on May 27, 1998 in Bridgeport.
Jesse had a loving, generous and indomitable spirit who bravely faced each day with a smile. He enjoyed tennis and music, loved playing and watching baseball, especially rooting for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. His greatest pleasure was walking at the Westfield Mall and around his neighborhood, accompanied by his family. Jesse’s goal was to visit every Major League ballpark and, in his quest, succeeded in visiting 15 of them.
Jesse will be profoundly missed by his friends and family.
In addition to his parents and step-father, he is survived by his brother, Dylan DeRosa of Milford; maternal grandparents, Sharon and James Gould of Milford; paternal step-grandmother, Cecile Dickinson of Beverly, MA; his uncle, Dennis Gould of Milford; great grandmother, Anna Rakowsky of Bridgeport; his paraprofessional Diane Fernschild who was like a second mom to him; and many loving relatives and friends.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, June 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. with Fr. Maurice Maroney officiating at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial will be private.
