Amanda Williams, Lifelong Milford Resident, dies at age 97

A private music instructor of 62 years, Amanda devoted her life teaching classical piano to the children of Milford.

 

Amanda Williams, age 97, of Milford, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 in West River Health Care Center.

A lifelong Milford resident, she was born on July 16, 1915 to the late Jacob and Minerva Annie Brown Williams.

A private music instructor of 62 years, Amanda devoted her life teaching classical piano to the children of Milford. A former member of the First Baptist Church, she later became an active member of the First United Church of Christ, Congregational.

Ms. Williams is survived by her sister Leatha Williams of Milford, nieces and nephews Earl Richards of Milford, Charlotte Sims of New Haven, Robert Richards of Florida, William Richards of New Haven, Lynwood Richards of Atlanta, GA and Eugene Richards of San Francisco, CA, thirteen great nieces and nephews, and godchildren Cynthia and William Parker both of Milford.

Calling hours are 9:30 to 10:30am at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford on Friday, January 25, 2013.

A funeral service will proceed to the First United Church of Christ, Congregational at 11am. Interment will follow in Milford Cemetery.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
