Roof Damage

While on vacation a few weeks ago from Georgia we parked in the garage. While leaving I sustained major damage to my roof by the welded steel bar on the "EXIT" of the garage. Why is this not a PVC pipe hanging by a chain like every other parking garage I've seen? Why is the exit lower than the entrance? Who else has sustained damage here? About 30 minutes after Facebooking what happened another Milford resident commented it had also happened to his friend. The roof is pushed in, the XM antenna and third brake light are ripped out and the cap is damaged. Thanks Milford Parking Garage.
