Milford Education Foundation Presents a Free Outdoor Movie Event

Milford Education Foundation is an organization of volunteers, based in Milford. Our mission is to promote excellence, innovation and creativity in education for the children in our community. Our belief is that a strong education system enhances a community's quality of life, attracts businesses, retains property values, and fosters community pride.

As an organization our goal is to raise funds for programming and promote education in our community. To this end, we are running programs that are fun, educational, and stimulating for kids and parents alike.

Coming up this Friday, October 4th, is a FREE Outdoor Movie Event featuring Nickelodeon’s Barnyard. Sponsored by The Milford Education Foundation, Milford Prevention Council, and Milford Recreation Department , it is a free outdoor movie night for the entire family.

The show starts at 6:30 PM at the Rotary Pavilion at Fowler Field. A short pre-recorded interview with T.J. Sullivan, one of the film’s animators, precedes Barnyard. T.J. is a 1991 graduate of Jonathan Law High School. T.J. will talk about his role in the film’s production and ways inspired young animators can pursue their dreams. The movie will begin at 7:00 PM.

Families are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and a picnic dinner.

At the event the Milford Education Foundation will also be collecting items to support Master Sergeant Craig Zentkovich, Jonathan Law High School Class of 1993, and his unit, which is currently stationed in Afghanistan. The troops have requested donations of instant coffee, non-perishable candy (Lemonheads, Sour Patch Kids or Honeybuns), individual powder drink mix (e.g., Crystal Light, etc.), disposable razors, and deodorant. These items will be sent to the 4th Infantry Division in Afghanistan.
