Recently I was invited to an "All-You-Can-Wear" shopping event held at Village Vogue Boutique on North Broad Street. The invitation stated that I had my pick of selected garments and accessories for a total of $30.00!
The catch was that I had to put it all on and have my picture taken for Facebook. AND, if I brought a friend, it would be a mere $25.00! I couldn’t resist. So I invited a friend and off we went!
As we entered the shop, the owner, Karen Quinn-Panzer showed us around, poured a bit of wine and invited us to start browsing. I asked Karen to clarify that I could buy anything I wanted for only $25.00 as long as I had my picture taken. Karen assured me that was the deal. My friend and I looked at each other and said, "Let the games begin!"
The shop was filled with excited women looking for that perfect something while figuring out how much they could get on their bodies and still have some dignity left. Within a half hour, dignity went out the door as we encouraged each other to try on different outfits . If an outfit didn't fit, we would pass it on to someone else! We laughed ourselves silly as we watched ladies put on 3 pairs of pants, a skirt, 6 tops, and a pair of shoes all while having a hot flash! (You know who you
are!)
So much fun and so many bargains! Rather than telling you the story, please take a look at the pictures that tell it all. Only in a downtown consignment shop can you have so much fun, enjoy the company of friends and get outstanding
bargains. Village Vogue offers these events twice a year – once after the winter season (Jan/Feb) and again after the summer season (August).
Thank you, Karen Quinn-Panzer, for being part of the downtown community.
