Milford's Neediest Will Benefit From Elks Project [PatchWorks]

Milford Elks needs community support to carry on its tradition of giving food baskets to the city's neediest during the Christmas holiday. Here's how you can help.

PatchWorks — a new neighborhood platform that can help you raise money and recruit volunteers — is helping neighbors to share and celebrate local projects and causes with the community.

Here's a look at one of Milford's current PatchWorks projects, Milford Elks # 1589 Christmas Food Baskets.

Why is this project important to the community?

It helps feed those in need during the holiday and gives our volunteers an opportunity to be thankful for what they have.

What inspires you to volunteer or be active in your community?

As a member of the Elks our mission is to help the community. For me personally I love giving back.

What do you love about your community?

The people.

Is there anything you'd like to add?

I am not the only one who makes this project happen. There are over 150 people in the Elks and the community that help with packing and delivering of the boxes, as well as cooking and serving the Christmas Day Dinner.
