SENIOR HEALTH DAY AT MILFORD SENIOR CENTER

Taking a respite from planning the upcoming Senior Health Day at the Milford Senior Center, are committee members, front row, Janice M. Jackson, Executive Director of the Milford Senior Center, Maureen Michels, Home Care Plus Office Manager, back row, John Jacobs, Human Resource Director, Milford Hospital and Milford Senior Center Program Director, Mary Steinmetz.  Not pictured, Joyce Lindsay, Administrator Home Care Plus.  The event, offering free health screenings is planned for Monday, September 17th at the Milford Senior Center, 9 Jepson Drive, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Health screenings include blood pressure, *Cholesterol, glucose, vision and dental.  A Mammography Van will be available; an appointment is required. Call 203 688-6800.

The Community Outreach and Parish Nursing Van will also be on hand. Free screenings for Osteoporosis and skin and medication counseling as well.  You are welcome to bring your medications and/or a listof medications. Appointments are required for screenings. Call Maureen @ 203 874-8414 ext. 1713.

*Cholesterol Screening $55.00 fee. An appointment is required. Fasting for this screening is not required.

Dr. Omar Faridi, MD will be present to speak on "How to Maintain and Protect YourVision."

Music, raffles and furry pets from the Milford Animal Shelter will be included on the program.
