The Milford Elks (#1589), in conjunction with the CT State Elks Association, is hosting a group of Wounded Warriors from the National Guard and all services returning from Iraq and Afghanistan on June 21st. All are welcome to attend!
The celebration at the Gazebo on the Green will include a tour and history of the veterans’ monuments on the green as well as proclamations from Mayor Richetelli, and the Mayors of Derby and Stratford. We will also be joined by state and local dignitaries, as well as the media.

More information about the Veterans’ activities that day:
The vets will be visiting Sikorsky in the morning, followed by lunch. Their bus from Sikorsky will be escorted by a caravan of Corvettes as well as the Stratford police to the Milford line. The Milford police will then escort them to the Milford Green for the celebration. Following the celebration the vets will be escorted to the Milford Elks for an “Invitation Only” afternoon of bocce and horseshoes and a picnic. That evening the Vets will be attending a Blue Fish game in Bridgeport
