Help for Asthma and Allergies ASAP

After the long, harsh, challenging winter in Connecticut, the arrival of spring is letting people breathe a sigh of relief.  For many, though, that breath won’t last for long.  The sneezing has already begun.  There are itchy, watery eyes and runny noses.  And, breathing is becoming difficult.  That’s right, even with a few piles of snow left on the ground, allergy season is here.

As the weather warms up, ASAP Urgent Care wants people to enjoy what they like, without struggling to take a breath.  So, for the month of April, ASAP’s three concierge-style urgent care facilities are offering a FREE pulmonary function test valued at $120 to anyone who comes in with allergy symptoms.  Pulmonary function tests are a series of studies that determine how well lungs breathe air in and out.  They check how well the lungs move oxygen and other gases from the atmosphere into the body’s circulation and can diagnose certain types of lung disease such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.  In addition, pulmonary function tests can determine whether chemicals, such as those people breathe in at work, are impairing lung function as well as why people experience shortness of breath.
