WHAT EVERY PARENT SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SPECIAL EDUCATION LAW AND ADVOCACY: a special education law workshop for special needs families – the first in a new series sponsored by the Law Office of Lawrence W. Berliner, LLC

On Monday, December 9th, 2013 at 7:00pm, Special Ed  Law Attorney Lawrence W. Berliner will host and moderate a free workshop with Guest  Speaker neuropsychologist Dr. Shelley Pelletier, to help parents navigate their child’s special education road ahead. The workshop will take place at Vista Vocational and Life Skills Center, 107 Bradley Road, Madison, CT 06443.




Special Education Law Attorney Lawrence W. Berliner will present this interactive workshop, and will focus on (1) Managing your child’s school year and beyond (2) Pursuing your child’s basic legal and educational rights (3) How to make the IEP Framework for Success (4) PPT Preparation: 5 questions parents need to ask at their next PPT meeting. 

Dr. Pelletier will 
discuss  (1) What a neuropsychological  evaluation entails (2) understanding the process (3) When and how to seek the IEE – independent education evaluation (4) how a neuropsychologist can help the PPT team implement the IEE in practical terms
