Stratford Library's Share the Health Food Drive

This September is Hunger Action Month which means Move For Hunger and our moving partners are ready to fight back against hunger across America. Stratford Library of Connecticut is joining the fight with a weekly food drive called "Share the Health" every Saturday in September.  The library's efforts will promote healthy eating to their local community.  Our generous partner, William B. Meyer, Inc- Stratford will pick up and deliver all food donations to St. Merton House-Stephen's Food Pantry.  St. Stephen's Food Pantry in Bridgeport, Connecticut  serves about 400 families each month in 3 locations.

All non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at Stratford Library, 2203 Main St., Stratford, Connecticut. Suggested items include:

  • Peanut Butter/Jelly
  • Canned Beans/Vegetables/Tuna
  • Brown Rice
  • Pasta/Pasta Sauce
  • Soups
  • Fruit Juice
  • Nuts
  • Crackers
  • Baby Food/Formula
  • Whole Wheat Cereal
  • Salad Dressing

Move For Hunger appreciates the amazing efforts of the library and movers to giving back to the community for Hunger Action Month.
