Bio: Converging at the intersection of the 60s folk revival and musical modernity, at the crossroads of the Village and Brooklyn, aiming for someplace between Bob Dylan and Jeff Mangum, is Stephen Bak. His indie-folk stylings are an organic outgrowth of participation in the America of the present, and an acknowledgment of musical and societal ancestry. He wishes Walt Whitman would've played the guitar.

Whether wailing or whispering out the back door of the local pub, the gravelly voice of Jack Mangan, earnest disciple of folk music tradition and thumb-picking troubadour, is raw at its roots. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he is truly a Jack of all trades. He can attack his guitar with ferocity, or coax warm melodies gently from its singing strings. 

Together, they are a blending of styles, sensibilities, and sound that rises and swells. Sailing on like two long lost brothers on a rickety raft, their music is homemade, a loving labor of human hearts and hands.
