Community Corner

Relay For Life of Milford 2013

The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Milford has raised over 1 million dollars since it started 11 years ago.  While we're raising much needed funds, we'll also continue raising awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and patient support.

Since we've all been touched by cancer, this is an opportunity for the community to gather and Celebrate those who've survived, Remember those who we've lost and Fight Back against this disease!

Teams of relayers camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track at Jonathan Law High School.  This year over 57 teams with over 500
will be participating.  "Cancer doesn't sleep and neither do we!!  Relay brings people together from all walks of life with the common goal of eliminating cancer. No matter who you are, there's a place for you at Relay!

The event begins with a Survivor Luncheon at 1:00 pm (with registration beginning at 12:30 pm. Please call: (203)563-1520 for reservations).

Opening Ceremonies will follow at 2:00 pm and will include remarks by
Mayor Ben Blake, Superintendent of Schools Elizabeth Feser, State Senator
Gayle Slossberg and Survivor Valerie Solli.
