Evening Lecture Series: The Penguins of Argentina

Everyone loves penguins - and ecotourist visitation to penguin colonies is one of the newest crazes. In Patagonia, Argentina, numerous penguin colonies are open for tourist visitation. Learn about the history of tourist visitation to penguin colonies in Patagonia and some of the studies examining the effects tourists have on these penguins that are so popular! $5 suggested donation. Refreshments will be served. This program, taking place in the Hanson Exploration Station, is part of the Evening Lecture Series, sponsored by Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo Volunteer Association.
