Milford Concert Band Holiday Concert: "We Need a Little Happy Holiday"

The Milford Concert Band will present its annual holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 15th, at 7 p.m. at Milford City Hall, 110 River Street. This theme for this year’s concert, “We Need a Little Happy Holiday,” is especially relevant as parts of the city continue to recover from Superstorm Sandy.

“In times like these, we need to come together as a community and celebrate the things we’re all thankful for,” said Steven L. Saunders, the band’s conductor. “Although the storm may have thrown some curveballs our way, we need to take some time out around the holidays and celebrate our blessings.”

The concert is being presented in conjunction with the City of Milford Office of the Mayor. While it is free and open to the public, concert goers are asked to bring a canned good or non-perishable that will be donated to the food pantry at the Milford Senior Center in the spirit of the holidays.
