Growin' Up In Milford

The Milford Historical Society will host a presentation by Dave Gregory on "Growin' up in Milford" after a brief meeting. This show and tell piece has blossomed into a power point talk with some 100 plus pictures as Dave reminisces about what it was like to grow up in Milford from the mid-forties to the early sixties. Mr. Gregory shares his memories of that time to find a common ground that people can relate to, whether they grew up in a small town like Milford or some other place or even a neighborhood in a larger city. Some place where we were young and shared a certain innocence, whether it was a day at the beach, school, church or just a walk home. Most people love to remember certain parts of their youth that give them a smile or bring back warm memories. Toward the end of the program Dave invites you to close your eyes & come for a walk downtown about the history of what was there before. We'll check out some of the pictures where you can pick up on, maybe "Wolf's Bakery" & share a story about the bakery or a store that was there before or after.
