Highly Adoptable Cats in Need of Homes

C.A.T.S, Inc., a longtime cat rescue is closing its doors. 17 highly adoptable cats are available for adoption to good homes. Click here to meet Luna!

C.A.T.S., Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 based in Fairfield, was founded in 1996. Since that time we have placed 1,100 cats and kittens in forever homes!

Unfortunately, after 16 years, C.A.T.S., Inc. is closing its doors. As a result we are looking for good homes for some great cats!

Meet Luna - My Working Princess

Luna helps me in my studio unraveling wool yarns and sitting pretty while I work pay for her expensive Blue Wilderness food! She is a real Prima Donna! Not only does she have the most beautiful green eyes and shiniest fur, she also has the personality of a princess!

Luna only eats certain foods and treats! When it’s Deli Turkey time, she only eats the Stop & Shop brand and walks away from anything else. She does not like canned fish cat food but tuna, the expensive one we humans usually eat! She needs a sheepskin blanket which is her favorite thing to sleep on and in terms of litter, she prefers clay over clumping.

When it comes to water bowls, Luna likes one large enough to play in……her favorite past time is putting dry food from her food bowl into the water dish, she then picks it up with her paw and eats it………….. let me tell you…if you don’t have a television, you will have the best life entertainment with this spoiled rotten cat.

Luna will turn 2 years on May 7th. She was born at the Bridgeport pound and had 1 sibling, “Diesel” which got adopted just recently. Her mom found a home too, but this gorgeous girl is still in need of that fab lap to keep spoiling her.

Spayed, up to date on vaccines, Feluk/Fiv neg.

Please give this little girl a furever home!!!

How it Works
All kittens get a full vet check, 1st distemper vaccine, a 2nd Fvrcp depending how long we have them for , 2 dewormings, flea treatment as needed, bath as needed. Adults are getting a full vet check, rabies and distemper vaccines, deworming, flea treatment if needed, bath if needed, spay/neuter depending on age.

All mother cats get tested for Fiv and Feluk because their kittens are too young for an exact result. Kittens have to be 6 month of age in order for the test to be accurate. If we don't have the mother, one kitten per litter will be tested for Fiv and Feluk but results are not 100 % in Fiv. Feluk are 100 %. Fiv+ kittens need to be re-tested at the age of 6 month and turn out 99% neg.

Our adoption fees and reference requirements are available on the C.A.T.S., Inc website.

Please adopt a shelter pet - Do not support Puppy Mills and breeder! Many of these pets will end up at some point in their lives in our shelters or rescue groups! Millions of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are euthanized each year in the USA because of irresponsible pet owners!
