Politicians Want More Regs After Meningitis Outbreak

Thirteen people have died so far from the outbreak, but nobody in Connecticut appears to have been affected.

Connecticut’s representatives in Washington D.C. want increased oversight after 13 people were killed from tainted steroids. According to Fox News, at least 13,000 people were given the injection – including several dozen in Connecticut.

U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-3, told the Connecticut Post that she wants to strengthen regulations regarding compounding pharmacies. One of these pharmacies, based in Massachusetts, was responsible for sending the steroid to doctors throughout the country.

"We are once more in a patchwork," DeLauro told the newspaper. "There's no one agency responsible. It's all over the lot."

Earlier this week, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal sent a letter to the Federal Drug Administration to seek stronger federal – rather than state –  oversight of compounding pharmacies.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
