Obituary: Rose Marie Sastre, age 76

Rose Marie Sastre, 76, of Milford and wife to Joseph Sastre, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2013 at Milford Hospital. Born on September 28, 1936 in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mildred Hosmer.

Rose Marie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, sewing clothes for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and making all of them the most amazing apple pancakes that no one could duplicate. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all her knew her. 

In addition to her husband Joseph, Rose Marie is survived by her three children, Joseph Sastre and his wife Victoria of Norwich, Richard Sastre and his wife Charlene of Fairfield and Karen Donovan and her husband Michael of Milford; nine grandchildren Leigh-Anne Sastre-Bush, Joseph Sastre, Jr., Alison Dockins, Katelynn Jagodzinski, Erica and Richard Sastre, Erin, Brian and Lynn Donovan; six great grandchildren Alexander, Grace, Elizabeth and Andrew Bush, Aubrey and Savannah Dockins. She is predeceased by her brother John Hosmer. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT 06460 at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Saint Michael Cemetery in Stratford. There will be no calling hours.
