Obituary: Paul J. Pace Sr., age 89

Mr. Pace was a proud Navy Veteran, who served during WW II. He worked in the Purchasing Department of Norden Systems UTC for over 38 years.

 

Paul J. Pace Sr., age 89, of Milford, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the love and prayers of family on Monday, December 24, predeceased by his beloved wife Ann Pace and 4 brothers.

He was born on February 18, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late John and Faustina Danzi Pace. Mr. Pace was a proud Navy Veteran, who served during WW II. He worked in the Purchasing Department of Norden Systems UTC for over 38 years.

He was an active member of the Norden Retirees Club, and Milford Senior Center, and served as the former President of the Heatherstone Bowling League.

Mr. Pace is survived by his devoted children Paul Pace and his wife, Joan, of Suffield, CT., Beverly Dutkanych of Milford, Donna Leonelli and her husband, Brian, of Milford, a brother Anthony Pace of Long Island, N.Y., a sister Angela McDowell of FL., dear grandchildren, Lisa Kuba, Andrew Dutkanych, FC1 Bradley Dutkanych, Paul J. Pace MD., Elizabeth Pace, Noelle Leonelli and Brian H. Leonelli, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a dear friend and companion Alice Dias.

Calling hours are Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 29, at 9:00 am in St. Mary’s Church Milford.

Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery Milford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 38 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT 06854.
