Management Offers to End Lockout at Nursing Home

About 100 members of SEIU, District 1199 have been out of work since December because of the lockout at the West River Health Center in Milford.

The management of a nursing home has offered to resolve a union lockout that has resulted in across Connecticut since .

According to an article in the Hartford Courant, HealthBridge Management, which manages several nursing homes including the West River Health Center in Milford, offered to end its 14-week lockout at the Milford facility if the union agreed to return to the bargaining table four times in April and four times in May.

A month ago, the National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint that said HealthBridge’s lockout was illegal.

To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
