The Milford Oktoberfest Is Coming This Saturday!
The Milford Oktoberfest sponsored by the Devon Rotary is Saturday. Great food, great drinks and great fun will be on the menu. Come and join us Saturday at Fowler Field.
Are you planning your weekend activities? Thinking about having something to eat? Maybe grab a couple beers. How about listening to some music, tying your dancing shoes on? Or maybe you just want to enjoy a comfortable Saturday evening with friends. If what you'r thing about is any of the above, The Annual Milford Oktoberfest is the answer. This Saturday, the Milford Rotary Pavilion will be the place to go for great food, great drinks and great fun.
This year’s Oktoberfest is featuring a terrific variety of entertainment and refreshments for fans of German cuisine and those who prefer American. Featured entertainment includes our DJ playing all the German Oktoberfest standards, plus a professional Bavarian dance troupe performing throughout the day and evening. Great local bands will be playing live music for you to listen and dance to. Hitlist is scheduled to take the stage at 3:30 and Rumrunners at 6:00. WPLR’s Mike Lapitino will be on hand from 6:00 PM. There will be raffles and games for the entire family.
A wide selection of beers in the Biergarten, including Oktoberfests and Pumpkin Ales, will be served for your pleasure. Don’t drink beer? No worries, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be in big supply. There will be German and American food served all day, so you can have a German meal in the afternoon and something more American in the evening, or vice versa. No matter what your taste, we’ll have something for you.

This sounds great Devon Rotary, but what are you going to do with all the money you raise? We’re glad you asked. Devon Rotary returns all the money we raise to the community. We support literacy, scholarship, fights against crippling disease, and hunger. We support youth activities in two area high schools. Our funds have helped the Boy Scouts, Boys Village, and the Boys and Girls Club. In June we were honored by the City of Milford for donating over $1 million to the community. So not only will you have a great time, your money will go to a great cause.
The Oktoberfest runs from 1:00 PM till 9:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, at the Rotary Pavilion at Fowler Field. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, Beachwood Florists or any Devon Rotarian.
