Harlem Wizards Event May Offer Respite From Hurricane Sandy

The Harlem Wizards are performing in Milford on November 10th. Their athletic skills and comedy provide entertainment for the entire family.

Once again, the people along Connecticut’s coastline are digging out from a horrific storm. Over the next weeks and months many will be working diligently to return their lives to normalcy. Some of us will have to recover from losses that can not be reversed. The Devon Rotary wants all of our friends and neighbors know that we are here to help you. We have posted information on our website where you can get help and information.

One terrific event that will offer a brief respite from the stress and aggravation from Sandy is the Harlem Wizards vr. the Milford All-Stars basketball show at Foran High School, Saturday, November 10th at 7:00 PM. There will be no better way to get away from the stress of the past week than to laugh with friends and family at an event guaranteed to entertain everyone.

According to their website, “At the Wizards game fans see amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy. The athleticism, tricks, fancy teamwork and ball-handling wizardry, plus wild dunks not even seen in NBA games, engages and wows the most avid hoops fans”. The Wizards are fan favorites of every age. From the comedy packed action of the game, to the halftime show with all the young fans taking the court, a night at a Wizards game will not soon be forgotten. A free autograph session is held after the game. The Wizards don’t leave the court until every autograph is signed.

Like all projects of the Devon Rotary, the funds raised through this event will be returned to the community. We are proud of our record of service and are pleased to offer an evening of entertainment the entire family will enjoy.

Tickets are available at Milford Bank or online at www.harlemwizards.com. You can pick them up at the Will Call table the day of the game if you choose the online option. Tickets are $14.00 for adults, $12.00 for students. Tickets purchased at the door are $2.00 more. Refreshment and souvenirs will be sold at the game. Call John Kuehnle at 203-783-5782 for more information.

To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Sad that they had to leave these beauties behind. I'm sure they are heartbroken over it.

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
